In looking at the state of things, I’ve decided to keep the site open as an archive of links to great vids, but I will no longer be accepting new recs or maintaining the site.

Keep Vidding!

In the next few weeks, I’m going to undertake a massive site cleanup here. If you, or anyone you know, has a vid listed here for which the link has changed, please submit the new location ASAP. I will be removing dead links and eventually, the rec altogether.
Happy Halloween!

Dagana sent in three intense Supernatural vids by JessicaRae. I highly suggest checking out each of them.
The rules of the site have changed to allow vids hosted on download sites. We’re still a bit of technology away from accepting vids that are streaming only, especially from YouTube.
Thanks for all the input and suggestions on the new rules!

Announcements.
I have always required that all vids listed here be downloadable and permanently hosted. I stll think that should be the case. Another concern I’ve had is with streaming video. It takes a pretty good computer and connection to be able to actually watch a vid on YouTube without having to wait for buffering. Furthermore, YouTube compresses even the most perfect of vids into its own format, many times to the detriment of the quality of the vid.
That said, should we lift the rule about streaming video and allow vids hosted at YouTube, Imeem, Vimeo (which is actually quite good), etc.?
Email me or leave a comment via this post or the “Submissions” form.
Thanks!

Several new recs added today!
Two Doctor Who vids, each very heavy on effects were recommended by Nikole. The vidders are hollywoodgrrl and jagwriter78 and both vids are Tenth Doctor. Thanks!
AJ Johnson and Q each recommended AJ’s (also heavy on effects) Star Wars vid, Legacy. I’ve nearly given up on trying to learn from AJ. I’ve come to realize that he is one of a kind and a technical genius. Great job!
Becca84 recommended a different kind of vid. The Heroes vid by here’s luck is a slower, story based ensemble vid that relies on clip choice and story. Lovely vid!

I am in love with Heroes, so I am elated to add our first vid rec, and look forward to many more.
AJ Johnson sent in the Heroes rec “Sleepwalking” by Kitty. He also sent in a rec for Castor’s Constantine vid, “Hole In The Earth”. I have to admit that I haven’t had a chance to check out the vids yet, but with AJ’s incredible talent and awesome previous recs, I’m adding them blind.
Thanks to AJ Johnson, Kitty, and Castor for this round of great entertainment!

I had the pleasure of adding a new LOTR vid today. AJ sent in his vid, “Ascension”, a truly unique LOTR vid that combines some of the most beautiful imagery with the horrors of evil and then wraps it all up in one of the best displays of editing I’ve ever seen. The file is large, but worth it. Excellent job, AJ!
Having never watched Firefly or Serenity, I can only say that Brooke’s rec of Sassy Kitten’s “Feel Good Time” is very welcomed. The pacing here is amazing, and I almost want to watch the show after seeing the range of scenes shown by SK. Oh, and is that a bare bum at the end?!?
Thanks to AJ, Sassy Kitten, and Brooke for some wonderful recommendations!

I added two Doctor Who vids today that I am in love with. Di’s Tenth Doctor vid, “Scattered”, is amazing in scope and presentation. Ana’s Ten/Rose vid, “Starlight”, is the perfect mix of action and sappiness (in a good way), and never strays from the feel of the music.
Great job, ladies!

Sorry about the server hiccup we had this week. Actually, it was more like a server meltdown, but everything is fixed now.
A lot of terrific new vids (and a new fandom or two) have been added.
Alcoholicpixie recommended her Supernatural vid, “Se7en” and I have to say, this is one of the most inventive vids I’ve seen in a while. Excellent!
Dragonchic’s Matrix vid, “Violent Mood Swings” by recommended by Cam. Two Labyrinth vids, Mary Crawford’s “Blue Jean” and ponyboy’s “No Stranger In Your Dreams” were also sent in by Cam.
Castor recommended the wild frivolity vid from The Island.
Lane L Gibson sent in his epic 300 vid.
Cam recommended another great Pride and Prejudice vid, Dreamvision’s “Far Away”.
Brooke just sent in Xandra’s X-Files vid, “Bad Day”.
One of my new favorites is dualbunny’s vid, “Olivia”. Circeniko recommended this dreamy “The Last Unicorn” vid and it’s fantastic.
Thanks to all the talented vidders and wonderful contributors who sent in recs!

Lane L Gibson’s self submitted Ultraviolet vid, “UltraViolet” is now listed as well and it rocks.

I’m certainly not complaining, but you are keeping me very busy around here! Whoo!
“Moody” is the word of the day this time around.
Di sent in a rec for “You Could Be Happy” from 4AM Insomniac (Becca), a moody/shippy vid for The Office.
Cher recommended a moody/heartbreaking Farscape vid from Fialka, “You Cut Her Hair”.
Nikole (Hi! Welcome!) sent in a rec for a moody/creepy BSG vid, “Angel” by Petitevanou.
Funny thing is? Though they’re all somewhat moody, they’re all incredibly different and fantastic. Thanks to Di, Cher, and Nikole for the recs, and to Becca, Fialka, and Petitevanou for the greatness!

Cam also sent in our first Constantine vid, Alter Idem’s vid, “Wings of Steel”.
The Wonderfalls page is growing thanks to Brooke’s rec of Charmax’s vid, “Wake Up!”
Thanks to Rose, Cam, and Brooke for these terrific recs, and of course to the talented vidders, Michelle_fdk, obsessive24, shalott, Alter Idem, and Charmax for editing such great vids!

There’s a LOT of Sassy Kitten love these days! In addition to the recent rec for “Red Red Red”, Brooke (welcome!) sent in three more recs!
Wonderfalls vids aren’t that common, but Sassy Kitten’s vids “So Jealous” and “Criminal” are excellent representations of the show. Check out both of them right away!
Brooke also recommended Sassy Kitten’s Sin City vid, “Resurrection” which is a highly stylized vid of a highly stylized movie. Be ready to look closely while you get caught up in the awesome editing!
Thanks, Brooke for three great recs, and thanks to Sassy Kitten for vidding excellence yet again!

Due to the fact that nearly every vid submitted to this site is excellent, I am finding that my limited vocabulary is making these front page announcements seem redundant. In the future (well, present too, I suppose), I’ll do a very brief note on the Announcements page to list all new recommendations. It would be superb if others would like to add anything to the recs, however.Â
Clarice recommended Sassy Kitten’s Buffy vid, Red Red Red, which is ironically, very red. There’s a LOT going on in this one, so be ready to pay attention.
Clarice also sent in a rec for Lady Manson’s Kill Bill vid, “Here Comes The Bride”. I was struck by three things in watching this vid: the editing is awesome, the movie looks very cheeky, there must have been a ton of gore material used in filming the movie. In the end, it’s strictly Lady Manson’s spin on this vid that hooked me.
I’m the loser who never saw Labyrinth and pretty much goofed on the rec. It seems that the film really did have Bowie in love with a 15-year old. Heh. Imagine that getting into the theatres today. Nevertheless, Yue’s Woman (e_chan_21) took a benign, overused song and made a really quirky fantasy vid that I’ve been watching over and over. I love how the POV changes and is actually something the viewer can pick up on.
Nibbiko (recently rec’d here, yay!) sent in two recommended vids. Rae’s vid “Girl Anachronism” is a rollicking Firefly/Serenity vid that shows <s>a lot of a crazy girl</s> River’s many quirky moments.
Dragonfly’s Supernatural vid, “Carol of the Supernatural” is fantastic use of instrumental music (Christmas, at that!) to show the dark side of the brothers’ lives. I don’t watch SN, but I can see that I may need to start. Great job and great flow with the editing.
This brings us up to date. I’ll be sure to add the announcement as soon as the vids are added now that the pressure of adding my two cents is lifted. Â

Oh my, January’s “Happy New Year” vibe extended all month long!
Cam has sent in three veeery interesting SG-1 recs. Rae’s Daniel Jackson vid, “Home” is a hard look at Daniel’s sufferings and really shows much of what has made him as strong as he is. I sometimes forget just how bad he’s had it, and this vid reminds me how much he’s overcome. In the humorous SG-1 category, Cam sent in “Vogue” by Nibikko and “Sibling Rivalry” by Brihana25. “Vogue” is so clever in the clip selection and I chuckled throughout much of the vid. It’s definitely a feel good vid and I’ll watch it for a quick “pick-me-up” many times. “Sibling Rivalry” is an odd little duck, and seeing the relationship of the team, especially Sam and Teal’c in such an amusing light is a treat.
JaniceHope’s recommendation of Corn_Child’s Firefly/Serenity vid, “Must Be Dreaming” is also a must-see new addition. It’s a River-centric vid full of the greatness that Corn_Child puts into every vid. Watch it right away!
Ana’s vid, “Dark Blue” is our first One Tree Hill vid, and I’m wowed by my interest in the show now that I’ve seen this vid. It’s a wonderful vid, whether you’ve seen the show or not or you are a shipper or not. The pacing and editing alone are enough to qualify this vid as a great one, and the relationship between the two stars of the vid just makes it all the better.
The final vid for this update is Di’s MirrorMask vid, “Illusion and Dream”. This vid is for everyone who has ever watched a fanvid, made a fanvid, or heard of a fanvid. This vid is the one that when you have company over, you say, “Wanna see something cool?” with a twinkle in your eye because you know that they’re in for an experience. The film the vid is from is strange and trippy, but the vid amplifies the strangeness of the dreamland with Di’s use of excellent pacing, transitions, and clip selection. Watch it today and I’ll bet you find yourself wowed and transported to a land of fantasy and imagination.

I’d like to apologize to Cam and Clarice for not updating sooner. I’ve been dealing with a sick kitten and neglecting my duties here. I am so very sorry for this out of character lapse in updating.
I’d like to extend the apology to the wonderful vidders, Lady Manson, Fabella, and Charmax whose vids were recommended in the last couple of weeks.
Clarice sent in Lady Manson’s vid, “Walk”, an angsty and hardrocking Buffy/Faith vid. It’s actually very stylized and has a great grip on the characters.
Cam sent in two Supernatural vids. Fabella’s “Ghost Boy” and Charmax’s “Protege Moi”. I haven’t had a chance to watch these yet, but knowing that they were made by two extremely talented vidders makes my job easier. Normally, I watch each vid to be certain it meets the expectations of the site, but I can add these recs unseen (for now, I *will* watch them, how could I not?!?) and know they are terrific.
Thanks again to the contributors and vidders, and Happy New Year, everyone!

We’ll call this update the “Highly Edited Holiday Extravaganza”! All of these recent recommended vids are edited to nearly an inch of their life, but the payoff is fantastic.
Sarah Beth sent in a rec for a “Men of Buffy” vid by Brad. Make no mistake, however, this is no simple eye-candy vid. “Man or Animal” is a high energy engaging look at the guys and how they deal with the question. Go to the Buffy/Angel page to get it right away!
Mr. Anderson, who has some of the best vids available, has recommended three vids, two of which are from all new fandoms here! “Sin City” by PowerMonkey is an action vid that flows so smoothly you almost forget you’re on a wild ride. I was surprised to find that I loved this vid so much since I didn’t necessarily love Sin City, and it’s a definite keeper due to PowerMonkey’s editing genius.
“Vixen” by Eclipsejp06 is an Underworld vid of nonstop edited action. It combines action from both UW movies and blends the scenes and music flawlessly.
Mr. Anderson also alerts us to the greatness that is Frivolity’s “Violety”. I find it difficult to put into words just what this vid is. Ultraviolet didn’t get much box office business, but if they had Frivolity’s vid available for promotion, they may have fared quite a bit better. “Violety” is a vid that watches like a comic that watches like a movie. If that makes no sense, don’t worry, you’ll understand once you’ve seen this masterpiece of editing. I’m still smiling at the accomplishment Frivolity has made. Check it out on the Ultraviolet page now!
Happy Holidays to Sarah Beth and Mr. Anderson for bringing us such great recommendations, Brad, PowerMonkey, Eclipsejp06, and Frivolity for making such kickass vids, and to all the visitors of the site!

Thanks to Celia, we have three new recs representing an old favorite and a new fandom here!
“Goody Two Shoes” by Pipsqueak and Laura Shapiro is our first due South vid and what a hoot! I’m only vaguely familiar with DS, but this vid is right in line with what I take the show to be. It’s kicky and fun and full of kitsch. It’s a wonderful way to begin a new fandom!
“Stress” by Clucking Belles, is pure Rodney McKay. Stargate’s favorite spazz (which I say lovingly) gets the spotlight in this great vid by the belles. “Dreams” by newkidfan is a McShep vid? trailer? snapshot? It’s an almost surreal look into the mind of John and when this vid is viewed at 50% res, the quality is increased and the results are stunning. Check both of these out on the Stargate page today!
As always, a huge thanks to Celia for recommending great vids and to the vidders, Pipsqueak, Laura Shapiro, Clucking Belles (Rache & Sandy), and newkidfan for making such great vids!

Hot on the heels of my rec of Dallascaper’s vid “Scorpy Went Down to Georgia”, Di has sent in a rec for Dallascaper’s “Love Over This”. This vid shows a detailed look at John’s life and loves once he entered the wormhole and it, too, is great! Check it out on the Farscape page!

The gigantically talented Mr. Anderson’s Doctor Who vid, “Back to the Start” was submitted by the equally gigantically talented Charmax. It took me awhile to be able to do an introduction to this vid because in many ways, it’s exactly how I see the show in my dreams. The vid lovingly portrays The Ninth Doctor, Rose, and The Tenth Doctor in full circle. It’s no secret that I harbor great love for Nine, and this vid plays out like a dreamy wish of mine. Stunning!
Gater, of the unbelievably huge site Kawoosh! submitted “The Ancients” by PG15. This Stargate vid manages to integrate scenes from SG-1 and SGA highlighting everything we know about The Ancients. The vid is set to a moving instrumental/choir piece, making this a moving and powerful look at the race. The scene of The Ancients leaving Atlantis is one of my favorite vid scenes ever.
I added another fandom which I shortened to “Narnia” because “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe” wouldn’t fit in the sidebar ;) Additionally, I hope to receive recs from the subsequent movies. Narnia was added to highlight Di’s vid, “Brother, Let Go”. I’ve been meaning to rec this one long before now, and could have sworn I had already done so. Oops! If you haven’t already seen it, be sure to check it out. The vid is energetic and emotional, and chances are, you’ll be crying at the end. It’s just a really great production!
Thanks again to the contributors, Charmax and Gater, and to the excellent vidders, Mr. Anderson, PG15, and Di!

It has come to my attention that I didn’t include an introduction to obsessive24’s rec of aycheb’s vid “Perfect Day” and for that, I am truly sorry. I fell waaay out of love with Willow in Season 6 of BtVS, but this vid really reminds me that her motives were based in love and pain. The vid is excellent and the vidder has made me want to watch my DVDs again for the first time in a while. Great job!
A brand new rec from ChemistrySet (fist time rec’er…YAY!) came in today. JennCho’s Prison Break vid “Crawling” is a powerful angsty look at the characters- all the characters- from the show and really drives home the misery of their lives. The vid is skillfully edited and strikes a nice balance between show and song. Even if you’ve never seen Prison Break, this vid is a keeper.
Thanks again to obsessive24 and our newest member of the family, ChemistrySet!

Fiona sent in another great rec today! OBFreak’s “Wisemen” vid is a kicky SGA vid focusing on three of our favorite wisemen. The vid is clever and fun and I know Carson fans will more than appreciate seeing him in this one!
Thanks, Fiona, for another wonderful rec and OBFreak for vidding this gem. Also, OBFreak’s “Wake Up” vid has some of the most inspired and fresh clips I’ve ever seen in a crossover (SG-1/ SGA) vid. It’s definitely a winner, too!

Prison Break is FINALLY added! Thanks to the amazing rec from Clara, Kerstin’s vid “What If” is now listed on the Prison Break page. I can’t say enough great things about this vid, from the content, to the imagination, to the kickass vidder’s logo, it’s a true winner. See.it.now.
JaniceHope made three terrific recs! We now have an Alien (Quadrilogy) page with Katheryn’s vid “One Step Closer” being the inaugural vid. Fans of Ripley will nod along and LOVE this vid. Also added were two BSG vids. “Trouble” is a quirky Kara Thrace vid that almost makes me want to watch the show :) It has action, great editing, and makes the show look fun! JaniceHope’s third rec is also a BSG vid by Katheryn, but it’s very different from “Trouble”. “Every You, Every Me” is a moody shipper vid that really tells a captivating dramatic story. Had I not read the notes on this one, I would have thought the vid storyline was canon. Yes, it’s that good.
Thanks again to Clara and JaniceHope for these refreshing recs, and to Kerstin and Katheryn for having such great vision and talent and making these great vids!

Cher recommended “Drop Dead Gorgeous” by Shalott of Intimations. This Smallville vid is not only extraordinarily fast-paced, it’s also, well, drop dead gorgeous. In all the action (and there is a LOT of action), there is still quite a bit of story and character being shown. Fasten your seatbelt and go enjoy this vid now!
Thanks again to Cher for rec’ing this wonderfully fun vid and to Shalott for vidding such a great fun ride!

Thanks, Charmax for the two Supernatural recs! “Evening On The Ground” is great, what with the offbeat song (which I think contains at least one f-bomb, so consider yourself warned ), the smooth editing, and the emotional storytelling. Lithium Doll has done a great one, indeed.
“Hey Pretty” is one of my favorite songs, and now I have a shiny new vid to enjoy along with it. Charmax’ description of Astarte’s vid had me at “hello”! The vid is the story as told by–the car. Oh, how I knew I’d love it. It’s quirky, but never crosses into gimmickland.  I’ll be looping this soft-focus gem for quite a bit.
Thanks again to Charmax for the recs, and to the vidders for such terrific work!

This is going to take awhile! This post is a long overdue update of recent submissions, so without further ado….
“Drag” is an awsomely cute McShep SGA vid from Ana. I rec’d this one because it’s just so kicky and fun, not to mention perfectly edited!
“The Boy Was A Puppet” was rec’d by obsessive24 and this vid by Fabella is a truly powerful, gut-wrenching Harry Potter vid. I actually shuddered by the end of this one. Amazing! Not knowing much about The O.C., I can appreciate obsessive24’s rec of Fabella’s vid “Queer” only for the great story and editing that show.
Fans of Faith from BtVS and Ats will love Katie’s vid “Confession”, rec’d by Aimee. I was a Faith-hater, but this vid is really awesome. I recommend that even those who didn’t like Faith check out this vid straight away!
That Ana is making SG-1 and SGA vids is um, video to my ears? Di rec’d Ana’s vid “End of The World” and I wholeheartedly second it. This vid touches on the downside of intergalactic goings on while striking a surprising emotional chord. Di also rec’d Ryan’s “We Used To Be Friends” which is hands down the best Kill Bill vid I’ve seen. Again, a great vid with action AND emotion. A real winner! “Vertigo” the well-known vid/ride by Linda was also rec’d by Di and can be found on the Harry Potter page. Talk about energy! There are at least three places I can think of that made me woozy watching Linda’s masterpiece and this vid is definitely not for the faint of heart!
Ana returned the favor of her many recs by adding our very first Supernatural rec! “Gifts & Curses” by Tere is actually a Supernatural/Roswell crossover and since I know nothing about either show, I can only say that this vid is edited very well and contains a lot of beautiful people :) Ana also rec’d “24″ a trippy SGA vid by Shayz. I never dropped acid, but I’m pretty sure if I did, the results would be a lot like “24″. The vid is only available on PutFile and is the last of its kind to be accepted on this site, but I’m very glad Ana got it in before the new rules came along!

Melissa from Euphonies.com fame has made a welcomed return the vidding world and provided a couple of terrific recs!
AJ’s vid “Judith” is a Spiderman vid that really shows the relationship between Spidey and Green Goblin. The editing is fast and tight and AJ really uses the film’s special effects perfectly in his own creation! See it on the Spiderman page today!
The first recs I ever made were LOTR vids and it is exhilarating when I receive LOTR recs. FrozenTears’ vid “Touching You” is just nearly the perfect vid. I don’t know how I missed this one myself. Frodo’s relationship with The One Ring is the theme of this dark, rich, wonderfully edited vid. There are moments in this vid that seriously made me gasp. Be sure to check it out on the LOTR page.
Thanks again to Melissa, AJ, and FrozenTears!

The always wonderful Di has made three new recs for our viewing pleasure! “English Summer Rain” is one SGA vid that I’ve had in my favorites for a while now and I can tell you, Martouf Marty has made the most entertaining McShep vid I’ve ever seen. She always chooses fresh music and this is no exception. The vid is full of action AND relevance. Check it out!
“I Need A Hero” is a tongue-in-cheek look at, as Birgit said, “who the real hero is.” I’m just getting in to Farscape and I love this vid! It’s edited wonderfully and the whole vid is just fun and quick and clever. Check it out on the Farscape page!
The third vid is “Is It Any Wonder” by JennMiller (yours truly). This is a Ninth Doctor vid that pretty much summarizes his whole incarnation (as we saw it). I fell in love with the Keane song and thought of Doctor Who the first time I heard it. I hope you enjoy it, and it is now on the Doctor Who page. Thanks, Di!
Actually, thanks a TON, Di! I’ve really enjoyed these vids!

I’ve been a fan of Doctor Who for a bit now and I’ve seen a few great vids, but Clara’s vid, “Sophia” is by far the most ambitious I’ve seen. It’s not the usual action vid, or the “Watch The Doctor run around and look silly” vid (which I’m so inclined to vid), it’s a rich episodic vid that is lovely in a standalone sense. You don’t even have to know who the characters are to appreciate this vid, you just have to have a heart. Check it out on the all-new Doctor Who page. Thanks, Clara!

Thanks to the always wonderful Clara, we have three new GH recs! “Mary” and “Ding Dong” from Shazzer and “I’m a Bomb” from Ames are great additions to the site. Summer is just perfect for indulging in soaps and these vids will definitley set the mood for you. Check them out on the GH page!
Thanks, Clara!!

New, and excellent rec, from frivolity has been added to The Matrix page. “A Battle For Peace” is an instrumental vid with more depth than nearly any lyrical vid out there. Lewis has crafted this tribute so flawlessly that you can feel the movement throughout. This is a must-see vid and once again, thanks to the vidder, Lewis, and the contributor, frivolity!

I would like to extend a huge “Thank you!” to obsessive24. We have several new recs in many fandoms! First off, Corn_Child’s “Hello Tomorrow” is a House of Yes vid that is just oozing with style, swank, and cheeky naughtiness. Corn_Child’s VM vid “California” has also been recommended. It too has a distinctive editing style that creates a true viewing experience.
From sisabet, we have a wonderfully intense Smallville vid, “Without You I’m Nothing”. This is another example of a vid making me wish I’d watched the show all along. It’s angsty and so well edited…awesome!
Txlsplash’s Alias vid, “Save Yourself” and Martouf Marty’s Battlestar Galactica vid, “Sex, Violence, and Cylons” round out this group of recs. Since I’m having computer issues, I haven’t seen them yet, but once I do, I’ll be back
Thanks again to the wonderfully talented and generous obsessive24!

The new look here at F-R.com really doesn’t look that new, eh? I moved the navigation to the top so it would be easier to submit recs.
I added a new GH rec from Clara. This one is full of NiCo, which means it’s full of Nikolas, which means…
Frivolity has made the most fun, kickass western vid EVER. The vid “Tombstone” set to “The Boys are Back in Town” is just sheer brilliance. Seriously, I can’t say enough about it…see it for yourself!

I’m almost glad I waited to do a formal update…as I found another rec for everyone.
Starting off, I would like to thank Clara for recommending some great fanvids. Clara recommended Di’s Farscape vid, “Always“, a loving look at John and Aeryn’s devotion. I’m still working on getting Clara’s other recs added, so check back soon!
Alexa sent in Martouf Marty’s “Setting Sun“, an action filled Stargate: Atlantis gem.
Fiona recommended two very different SGA vids. The first is QueenSelqet 31’s “Atlantis Under Siege” which is a really kickass action vid, and the other is “Lonely Day” by JennMiller (yes, yours truly), a sympathetic Ronon Dex vid.
Katie, Simple-Ruse.org, recommended two vids. Aimee’s vid “Lemon” for Thirteen brings a new fandom to Fanvid-Recs! Katie also recommended Aimee’s vid “Tourniquet“, a brilliant Buffy and Faith vid.
Just today, I found and immediately recommended Barbi’s Tristan & Isolde vid, “Savin’ Me“. While there are literally 1000 vids to this song right now, this one transcends the music and has a vibe about it that is rarely seen in fanvids.
Thanks again, Clara, Fiona, Katie, and Alexa for the recs!!

Sorry for the short delay in posting updates. I’ve quietly added a few recs that came in, but in the next day, I will be adding even MORE fandoms as well as an official update.  I need to thank Clara, Katie, and Fiona for sending in recs and I’ll be praising the vids and these ladies much more appropriately in just a bit.
Thanks!

Cher has recommended a really great BtVS vid by here’s luck called “Atropine”. It’s a really sad vid that can make even the strongest Dark Willow hater sympathetic to her when reminded what started everything. I really missed Tara, too. A lot.
On a completely different note, David has recommended his vid “Brace Yourselves” from the UK show Bottom. While I wasn’t familiar with the show at all, the vid is just pure goof after goof and I found myself actually laughing aloud. If the show ever needed a promo, it’s safe to say that David had them covered.
I just added “Break Down” by Di to the Harry Potter page. Wow, just WOW! This GOF vid is just full of fun. Great editing, timing, and action!

Several new recs have come in recently! Clara, of Pink-Martini.net, has recommended another GH vid by Susanne, a VM vid by Charmax, and our first SG-1 vid by LauraJo. A new vidder, David, has shared two SW vids, our first Dawn of the Dead vid, and a Scrubs vid. Fiona recommended a LOTR vid by yours truly. Have fun checking out all the new recs!

First off, I’d like to thank Jonathan for his wonderful Scrubs vid. This is our first Scrubs rec, and from watching the vid, it looks like a really fun show! Great job, and thanks also for the rec!
Charmax has gifted us with not one, not two, but NINE new recs. The great vids can be found on the Firefly, Veronica Mars, Xena, all new Hercules, and all new Joan of Arcadia pages. I’m sure you’ll be blown away by each of these vids and if you aren’t familiar with the fandoms, what better way to learn?!?

Veronica Mars is a fandom that I am not a part of at all. Here’s how bad my knowledge of it is:  As far as I can tell, there are a whole lot of unattractive people, some of which may or may not be from another planet (?) and some are dead. However, all of these VM recs are making me rethink my involvement with the fandom. Sway, an intriguing vid by whereistheluv, was recommended by Clara from Pink-Martini.net and it’s a really smooth look at the events surrounding Veronica and her crew. It’s vids like this that make me kick myself for missing out on a show. Thanks to Clara and whereistheluv for recruiting another member of the growing VM fandom!

OK, I don’t want your soul, but I *do* want to you see “We Want Your Soul”, an amazing vid by Martouf Marty. This Stargate Atlantis vid has my head spinning and even if you’re not a fan of the show, the vid will be a great wild ride. Check it out on the Stargate page!

Thanks to C.A., we have a truly mesmerizing Smallville vid from Becky of Tired Eye to enjoy. This vid is right up my dark alley; it’s dark, angry, angsty…all the greats!
Mark Wright has rec’d two very different, but entertaining, Star Wars vids. While both are Anakin Skywalker vids, one is ROtS and one is from The Clone Wars. Each of them capture Anakin’s trials and conflicts within himself wonderfully. Check them out!

Over the last week or so, many new vids have been recommended here and I want to thank Clara from Pink-Martini.net and Frivolity from EQ Music Vids for bringing some wonderful vids to light. Thanks to them, we now have even MORE fandoms to enjoy. Check out the brand new General Hospital page for a kicky Carly vid from Susanne of Capture-This. The Stargate page has been updated to include a cute vid from Azar showing the relationship between SGA’s John and Elizabeth. New pages have been added for The Matrix and Memento, as well. Melissa’s Matrix vid has a surreal swirl to it captures the feeling of the film. Frivolity’s Memento vid is a “day in the life” vid–a very “messed up, confusing day in the life” if you ask me *g*, but the vid is great, full of skillfully added effects.
So what are you waiting for, go expand your horizons.

Wow, we have a new Equilibrium vid to watch, and it needs to be seen NOW. Mr. Anderson has created one of the most captivating vids I’ve ever seen. While this isn’t a “new” vid, I think it will be new to most of us, and it is flawless. “Ode to The Grammaton” has a sophisticated, grown-up feel to it and I just can’t praise it enough. Check it out on the Equilibrium page!

Thanks to the very talented Frivolity, we have our first Velvet Goldmine vid to share. Now I’ll admit, I am more familiar with the real-life goings on of the guys portrayed than I am of the movie characters, but this is just a wild, stylish ride through madness. Check on F.L.M. on the new VG page!

Thanks to Martouf Marty and an anonymous viewer, there are several new vids to enjoy and we’ve added Alias, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Angel to the list of fandoms.
MM recommended a new Stargate Atlantis vid by Queen Selqet31. “Bliss” is a really quick paced action vid—which includes Ronon Dex! Outstanding! “Karaoke Soul” is a very intriguing Alias vid by Joanna and it makes me want to watch the show to see what I’ve missed. Our first Buffy/Angel crossover vid is from Nicky and really shows a great parallel between Faith and Connor. You can find “The Hand That Feeds” on the BtVS/AtS page.
Anonymous recommended and I seconded “Here” by Kristin Harris. This Equilibrium vid skillfully moves from character vid to action vid and back again. Superb!

Thanks to a wonderful Anonymous and myself, we have not one, but TWO Batman Begins vids. They’re by the always fabulous Kristin and Di, respectively and they both rock! From a wonderful Anonymous viewer, we have two new recommended vids. The first is an effects-heavy vid to The Machinist. This is a smallish fandom that may just grow once people see NoClockThing’s awesome industrial vid! The second vid is by Ashinae. “Dust and Air” is a reverent look at Gladiator and is sure to please serious fans of the movie.

Thanks to Shazzer of …know from dreams, we have our first recommendation for Star Wars. Whisper, by Azonia, is indeed a top SW vid. It explores the relationship between Luke and Vader with skill, energy, and passion. This is a must see for fans of the Star Wars Original Trilogy. Actually, it’s just a must see vid!

Thanks to Madhouse Vids, I’ve added a Spiderman section. Check out this recommended vid to break you out of the holiday doldrums. It’s full of energy without being “in your face” hard. It’s a great vid!
From Fascination Street, we have a wildly entertaining and thought-provoking vid from Gladiator. Even if you’ve never seen the movie (I haven’t), this vid is richly edited and very much a must-see.
